If you're looking for a solid Jackson without spending tons of money, check out these guitars. You can get that awesome single coil sound without a problem, and the in between positions were really nice. Some people hate it because it can be picky depending on how that particular piece of wood sounds, but it's generally a pretty good sounding pickup. From fusion to blues to death metal, this pickup really can do it all. This bridge pickup can really work for nearly any genre you can think of. The guitar sounded really good thanks to it having real Seymour Duncan pickups installed in it.

The neck itself felt pretty nice basically a standard Jackson MIJ neck. There wasn't a huge gap, and that's always good to see. I could get low action without much of a problem. Aside from that, the frets were pretty good. I recommend replacing it with an original floyd rose to get the most out of the guitar. There's one of them that's a Schaller clone, but aside from that one, most of them are trash. I'm not a fan of 99% of these Jackson bridges out there. The absolute worst problem was the bridge. The guitar didn't have too many issues from what I saw. One volume, one tone and a five way switch. Seymour Duncan STK-1 single-coils and JB TB4 humbucker Maple bolt-on neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets Here are the specs on it:Р”Р„lder body with flamed maple top (I believe this was a veneer) After a few tweaks this guitar is just as nice to play as my more expensive USA Jacksons.This guitar was made in Japan, and for the price that it went for, it wasn't a bad guitar at all.

But I would not recommend spending money to upgrade the bridge, since difference is very minor. The fine tuners are smoother on the original vs. The FR Original feels snappier when 'flicking' the trem arm. I did replace this with a FR Original, only because I had a spare from an abandoned project. Floyd 1000 trem system is good, and gets the job done. It is a minor thing, but I did not think the roll-off was consistent across the knob turn with original parts. I did replace the pots to CTS, and capacitor to orange drop. I'm not sure what positions 2, 3, & 4 are wired for, since there was no literature with the guitar, but sounds like some combination of coil splitting. Sound is really great & versatile with the five-way switch. So small that I can't see without magnifying, and just a few spots. Only when inspecting with a magnifying lamp did I see a few tiny fisheyes/blemishes. Fret ends were not as smooth as I prefer, which I took care of with a little bit of work with the fret file. Neck profile with 12'-16' radius is comfortable territory for me, and this guitar lives up to my expectations.

No complaints, but as always I did adjust to my own preferences. Set up out of the box was within factory specs. My review is in comparison to their USA custom shop guitars, and I will go into detail. I have several USA Jackson/Charvel guitars, and this is the first import for me of my favorite brand.
